Blended learning is an approach to education between students and teachers that combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place-based classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, whether in-person or online, with some elements of student control over time, place, path, or pace.
This makes Blended Learning an impactful way for students to not only learn, but to prepare for the world around them and any learning situation in the years to come!
In our course, The Teacher’s Guide to Blended Learning, teachers will learn how to successfully execute Blended Learning into their regular classroom environment. Teachers will also be given the tools and creative ideas to incorporate both project-based-learning and interactive and collaborative applications, many of them free, into the blended experience. Teachers will be able to help their students transform into active learners who will develop 21st century skills including teamwork, problem solving, research gathering, and time management.
Participants will receive both written and video instruction on Blended Learning so they can implement a Blended Classroom immediately upon completion of the course. This course is suitable for teachers of grades 1-12. Younger students will need adult assistance with the tools presented in this course.
