The world is changing--as it should, but we are not always prepared to deal with change. The thing about change is that it will happen with or without our permission. If you are new to teaching, have been in it for a few years, or have plenty of skin in the game, you are going to come up against experiences in the classroom that challenge your way of thinking. It’s par for the course called Life. This course is designed to be a self-reflective journey that will aid you in dealing with issues of equity, diversity and inclusion in your classroom. From newbie to veteran, there is always something more to learn. Through a series of activities and discussions that include topics such as race, gender and sexuality, you will learn about yourself, how you show up in the world, and what it means to the students you are charged to teach. This course is suitable for teachers of all grades.
